Our Story

We are excited to welcome you to our growing art studio with a huge soft spot for paws, whiskers and especially the way a single look from your best friend can make an entire day feel lighter. Painted Whiskers was born from that feeling—the quiet magic of being chosen by a pet, the meaningful routines you didn’t know you needed, and the kind of love that shows up every morning as a promise.

Because of our own devotion to our loved ones, we created an atelier to share our love for our friends with you, because we wouldn’t want to keep all these masterpieces to ourselves. We take your favorite photo and turn it into something you can live with: a portrait that feels like an heirloom, a masterpiece and a celebration, usually all three at once. Inspired by great art from all eras, our portraits are made to honor the personality you know by heart—bright eyes, silly grins, noble stares, tiny quirks, and the unmistakable presence that makes your home feel like home.

Our process is part craft, part play. We obsess over the details that make your companion unmistakably them: the exact markings, the tilt of the head, the texture of the fur, the spark of expression that only you recognize instantly.
